An email exchange with sisters Deborah and Linda on March 6th, 2018 yielded this recollection from Linda as to the location of this photo: "It is on the balcony at our apartment in Padova (Padua). Chronologicalizing it, Jennifer looks about a year old, Debbie, 2, so that puts it about 1957. The thing that made me pause was trying to determine if it was at our apartment, or on the roof where we had our storage unit. I think it was our apartment. Rick is conspicuously missing so it has to be before 1960. There is a picture of me somewhere proudly showing off my new Brownie uniform, or rather I was impersonating a clothes hanger. I know that was on the roof, so that photo can be compared to this one to do a positive ID as to location. We all (those of us born at the time) were on the roof at some point to watch Sputknik!"

If you look at the pictures from 1959, you will see Scott and Linda on the roof of the apartment. There was a lot of walking space up there . This picture is 100% from our apartment.
