Anna Rosa Babuder Studio Portrait
Anna Rosa Babuder Studio Portrait believed to mark Anna Rosa's Catholic Confirmation circa mid-1950s.
We do not know her birth date but a family consensus centers around the late WWII years (1944-1945). All we know about her father is that he was a German officer named Rudi.
2/14/2018 Linda Rebecca Carson Lieser had this additional recollection: "Rudi and his wife returned to Trieste after the war to try to adopt Anna Rosa. Too late by then. Rosina had her hooks in."
2/14/2018 Deborah Jean Carson added: "I remember that when we lived in Padova, a young lady came to visit. I remember 'Auntie-Rosa' was how she was introduced. Nice but quiet. Mom, 'Auntie Rosa', and maybe Jennifer walked to the road where she caught a bus. Never saw her again. I remember mom being sad."
Linda Rebecca Carson Lieser commented in 2022: "I recall that Anna Rosa visited us several times. I know this because we would share my bed when she came. This was at the house in Vicenza. We would whisper in the dark. She said she would never marry an Italian man but wanted to marry an American."
